Albert Fred Senftleber, 53, of Washington, TX passed away at his home on May 1, 2002 after a lengthy battle with cancer. He will be buried on the Senftleber family farm.

Albert Fred Senftleber was born November 19th, 1948 in Roslyn, New York. He received an appointment to the Naval Academy in 1966, but resigned in September 1966 and enrolled in the University of Alabama. He graduated from the University of Alabama in Huntsville with a degree in computer engineering. He began his own business as a systems consultant after many years of experience in the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) industry. He was regarded as one of the best in his field. He married his wife Jana on December 17, 1988. He moved to Washington from Houston 4 years ago to enjoy life in the country.

Albert is survived by his wife, Jana Lynne (Bloom) Senftleber of Washington, TX; his daughters Maria Elizabeth Senftleber of Washington and Michelle Miller Senftleber of Pearland; his son Albert Peter Senftleber of Dallas; his step-sons Michael John DeChellis of Austin and Matthew James DeChellis of Washington; his parents Al and Ruth Senftleber of Jacksonville; his twin brother Fred Carl Senftleber of Jacksonville; his sister Barbara Senftleber of Atlanta; and his nephew David Senftleber of Houston. He also has two granddaughters Sarah and Catherine Whitney of Dallas.

A memorial service was held on Monday, May 6, 2002 at Immanuel Lutheran Church of Wiedeville in Brenham,TX at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Jon Siemsglusz officiating.
